Photos Show Alec Baldwin in Tears Outside Sheriff's Office After Death

Alec Baldwin was seen in tears outside of a sheriff's office in New Mexico after a prop gun he was using discharged and killed a movie cinematographer and injuring the director.

The tragedy occurred on the set of the movie "Rust" on Thursday.

Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer, died after being transported to a hospital in critical condition after the incident. Director Joel Souza was treated at a hospital but later released.

The production team released the following statement:

The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today's tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna's family and loved ones. We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department's investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.

Photos from the scene show a visibly upset Baldwin in tears while talking on the phone and another of him hunched over.

No charges have been filed.
