Squirrels that have their tails tangled together are called "Squirrel Kings".
Your first thought is probably, "How that could that happen?" Your second thought is probably a naughty one about how it could happen (although I don't know if that's physically possible in the act). What actually happens is that those tails usually get tangled when the squirrels are all nesting together.
Take these six squirrels, for instance. Their tails were fused together by sap from the tree where they were all nesting together.
Veterinarians say Squirrel Kings made up of these squirrels with their tails tangled together move as one giant rodent...
You don't say? It's not like they'd be able to go far if they tried going their separate ways.
