IF you used to use your wife's purse to stuff things in when you were at a football game, you won't be able to any more, thanks to new rules regarding bags at NFL games.
The new rules state no bag are allowed, including purses. Clutches (that's the one that looks like an oversized cigarette holder) are okay, as long as they're no bigger than your hand. Even fanny packs are out.
What is allowed? Clear, one-gallon freezer bags, along with clear plastic tote bags no larger than 12"X6"X12" (those are very conveniently sold at merchandise booths).
Oh, and your heiny is going to have to rough it, since seat cushions are also not allowed any more.
My guess is that these new rules are probably for security, just like the plastic bag rule at airports. Of course, I'm sure that making sure you can't sneak food and/or drinks in by way of your girlfirend or wife's oversized purse won't upset stadium vendors.
