You might be cursing your internet service provider today because your internet is running really slow. It's not them. The biggest cyber attack of its kind is alledgedly being waged against a certain spam fighting group by a hosting firm.
The hosting firm is Cyberbunker, which says it will host anything, barring child pornography and anything terrorism-related. The spam fighting group is the non profit Spamhaus. This all started last week, when Spamhaus blocked Cyberbunker's servers. Someone claiming to be a spokesperson for Cyberbunker said that Spamhaus had overstepped its bounds, and shouldn't be the one to give the call about what "goes on and does not go on the internet."
Spamhaus maintains that Cyberbunker is behind this attack, thanks to connections with criminal gangs in Russia and Eastern Europe. So far, Cyberbunker hasn't responded to the accusation.
Is it just me, or does this feel like because two kids in class are fighting, the rest of the class has their privileges revoked?
