Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 has written his first ever children’s book, titled The Lonely Astronaut On Christmas Eve. One thousand copies of the book will be published in a limited hardcover edition. It will come in a $50 bundle, which will include a certificate of authenticity signed by DeLonge, a digital version of the book, a “Lonely Astronaut” clear acrylic etched ornament and a limited-edition T-shirt.
The book tells a story of a rocketeer who is spending Christmas alone on the moon. The rocketeer unexpectedly receives a gift from extraterrestrial friends.
Pre-orders for the book begin Monday, Nov. 25 at AngelsAndAirwaves.com. There is also a charity auction to benefit San Diego’s Rady Children’s Hospotal at CharityBuzz.com. Starting Nov. 25, fans can bid on a package containing the complete 22 pages of signed original art from the book, a DeLonge signed guitar and a meet-and-greet with DeLonge. The auction closes Dec. 13.
