Today is the day. Congress has passed the CALM Act, mandating that loud commercials are now illegal. Personally, I'm pissed.

How spoiled have we become as a country that we are having serious legislation discussing that our television sets are too loud? Here's a thought...turn the volume down. Y'know with those little things called remotes. They're really cool. You can adjust things without even having to move...but I guess I can see how thats still too much effort.

And calling it the "CALM Act" just reinforces the fact that people nowadays are a bunch of babies. The type of babies who wear ear plugs at concerts and eat gluten free when they aren't even allergic to gluten. They might as well call it the "DON'T CRY Act" or the "WOW, ISN'T IT PAST YOUR BEDTIME Act". Instead of making commercials quieter, we'll just mute them all together...piping in acoustic Taylor Swift songs and Raffi. Happy now?

What are they gonna do next, ban exclamation points in ads? Tell me I can't write in all caps?

I'LL WRITE IN ALL CAPS IF I WANT TO!!! It's called freedom of speech, and that includes speaking as loud and repetitively as I want.

Sigh. Ok, I'm done. RIP Head On. HEAD ON. HEAD ON.
