You gotta give me credit for trying Belgian beers, right?
Despite this style not being my favorite, I continue to go back to the well to see if I can find one that suits me.
Enjoying Belgian beer is supposed to be what separates casual beer drinkers from "hardcore" beer drinkers. So maybe it's my wanting to be accepted that keeps me coming back for more.
Here is another highly rated Belgian beer...this time from the strong brown ale family.
Look-richly brown color with a ring of foam just after the pour.
Smell-dark fruit smell. Black cherry perhaps? Tangy and sweet as well. Very pleasant aroma.
Taste- Fruity on the lips which gives way to  malt, barley and yeast.
Mouthfeel-blackcherry flavor in the mouth combined with a hearty barley taste. Medium bodied. Dry finish.
Overall- I love the fruity taste in the mouth. I opens up sweet and tangy on every sip. The ingredients blend wonderfully so all are tasted in the mouth. It's like drinking a black cherry soda...with alcohol in it. Very tasty sipper.
