I'm looking forward to tasting this one but not for the reasons you might think.
Yes, Goose Island has a great rep in the craft beer world.
But I've had two (Matilda and Sofie) from them and was decidely underwhelmed.
You know me, I don't like to be left behind on the trends and popular sentiments. So I'm hoping I like this one so can be apart of the cool kid crowd in their love of Goose Island.
We'll see.
Look-Nice lightish copper color. Tons of floaties and a ring of foam at the top.
Smell-Something sweet hits my nose right off.
Taste-Tangy and fruity on the lips with light hops.
Mouthfeel-light to slightly medium bodied with a light hoppy taste throughout the mouth with a dry finish. Very pleasant.
Overall-I like this much better than the others I've tried from Goose Island. Do I love it? Not quite. It's an enjoyable beer and when the Goose Island clique gets together, it's good to have a beer to hold from them.
