I love trying new beers from Lagunitas since they are one of my favorite breweries.
A little backstory on this beer. It's supposed to be a session IPA and those two terms don't usually go together. This is low ABV (for an IPA) but is still supposed to taste like an IPA. If this works, I may have found my fall session beer.
(The term "session beer" means having multiple cans/bottles of the same beer over a long period of time. Watching the NFL on Sunday while drinking Bud Lights would be a "session").
Note: I let this get close to room temperature before sampling. I'd like to try it again fresh out of the fridge.
Smell-Strong hoppy aroma. Off to a great start.
Taste-Packs a hop filled wallop to the mouth.
Mouthfeel- Light bodied and hoppy.
Drinkability-I have no idea how they maintained so much hoppy taste in a light beer...but dang it if Lagunitas didn't pull it off. This offers most of the flavor of an IPA while only clocking in at 4.6% ABV. If you're looking for a session beer that bursts with typical IPA flavor, you just found it.

About Lagunitas Daytime:
Sometimes you want a beer, then you realize how much crap you need to do before you call it a day. This is it. Nicely dosed with Big, Round Hop Flavors and a Toasty Malt Foundation to satisfy your every need. But it still lets you stay in the game to do what needs to be done.
ABV: 4.65%
