Sure this video can be a little annoying and grating at times. Sure the lyrics are nonsensical and the rap seems unnecessary and out of nowhere. And yes, you may hate yourself a little after listening...but in that sense, 8-year old Elsie Dilbert captures today's pop music scene perfectly.

What to others may seem like a girl's attempt at musical expression seems to me like a serious social criticism. Listen closely to those lyrics, "The world is ending...Mr. Bean, you don't know what I'm sayin...sittin on the TV, watchin the couch go buh-bleem-bleem". I couldn't really tell you what that means, but I am certain of one thing: theres' truth in those words.

In a style that can only be described as Adele meets Busta Rhymes meets Gandhi, I give you: ELSIE!
