We are starting to wrap up our pumpkin ale journey and we can't finish up without trying a Sam pumpkin ale.
Now, before you throw out Fat Jack, remember, we are doing pumpkin ales. This is Sam Adams "official" pumpkin ale.
(Also, I can't find Fat Jack anywhere...so there's that too)
Let's get to the tasting.
Smell-very pleasing pumpkin spice
Taste-Oh this is good. Malt on the lips before the pumpkin spice appears on the swirl. On the swallow, the cinnamon REALLY pops without washing everything else out. Delicious pumpkin pie mash present as well.
Mouthfeel-Medium bodied. Flavorful and slightly tingly...in a good way.
Drinkability-Dynamite pumpkin ale. Right up there with DFH's Punkin in my opinion. Plenty of flavor and all of it is there for the tasting. Drink this beer.

About Harvest Pumpkin Ale:
A perennial favorite at our brewery Halloween party, Samuel AdamsHarvest Pumpkin Ale is brewed with over 17 pounds of real pumpkin per barrel, adding a full body and sweetness to this dark reddish amber brew. Deep roasted malts, including a smoked malt, lend a distinct roasted character while traditional pumpkin pie spices give the beer a subtle spice note.
