Memorial Day Weekend, 1983. A simpler time, when we weren't always face down in our smartphones and people had bad haircuts. A time when Steve Wozniak sponsored a massive show out of his own pocket: US Festival!
A DVD is coming out on December 3rd, the highlights of that show, including performances from INXS, English Beat, Men at Work, Stevie Nicks, Triumph, Scorpions, U2 and The Clash. By the way, this was the final performance for The Clash with Mick Jones.

It's hard to find an original idea for a movie now but there are still some out there. ROULETTE is one that will definitely make you think about life and see things from a different perspective.
The producer / director / writer / head honcho of the film is Erik Kristopher Myers. Ali Lukowski is the lead actress, playing Sunshine Howard. They came in to the DC101 studios today to discuss the film, how much of an effort and a sacrifice it was to make and what's been going on since the production wrapped up.
By the way, this film was locally created and produced. You might recognize some of the shooting locations, as it was done in and around Baltimore.
This is the trailer for ROULETTE.
Thank you Erik and Ali, that was a lot of fun getting to chat today! And I'm holding you to putting me as an extra in your next movie Erik. I want to be Bar Patron #3.
Thirty Seconds to Mars went through many legal and personal battles with their record company in 2008 because they wanted out of their contract. The record company turned it around on them and tried to sue for $30 million.
Jared Leto didn't want to waste that opportunity though, he figured this was a story all of the fans would like to know about. He documented it all and put out the movie Artifact, which was shown at the Toronto Film Festival last year. Now it's finally coming out for everyone to see when they release it to various Video On Demand spots on December 3rd via FilmBuff.

Tomorrow A Perfect Circle has their greatest hits record Three Sixty coming out and next week their live box set A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo. What better time to talk to the man behind it all, Billy Howerdel!
We chatted about the new material, his favorite (and only guitar) and why he loves Red Rocks so much.
"I look at Red Rocks as probably the best venue…ever. I mean, The Gorge in Oregon maybe is a close second. Madison Square Garden actually, of course has more panash and is a thing to play but at the end of the day it’s another arena that’s dark inside when the lights go down and it looks like any other arena. Red Rocks is just, when you’re there as a performer or as an audience member you’re enveloped in this completely unique made by nature ampitheatre that’s cut into these mountains of red rock. And the worst seats in the house are sometimes the best, you get to see this incredible view of the Downtown Denver lights or at least the downtown and playing there is even better!"
And this is one of the songs that's on the new box set, Passive.
