Debbie Stier is a 46 year old mother from New York who is trying to accomplish one of her life's dreams: she wants to get a perfect 2400 on the SAT exams. Not for her teenage son, but for herself.
Debbie's gone overboard on it. She took prep courses, hired tutors at $250 an hour, read all the books, she wants the 2400 and will do whatever it takes to get it. She estimates that this quest, so far, has cost her $10,000.
If I'm her son, Ethan, I would throw myself out of a window. Everybody had awkwardness in their teenage years, this kid has his mother trying to get some glory back. He is probably taunted daily in the hallway, pushed over, punched randomly, all because his mother is a psychopath who wants to get a perfect SAT score!!! This is going to scar him for life, I guarantee.
Ethan, get on a train and ride west in a boxcar. Become homeless, lose your identity, anything you can to put distance between you and that maniac who calls herself your mother!
