Today is an important day in American history!
December 5th, 1933, Prohibition was repealed, putting an end to one of the biggest errors in our history. Why would anyone think that banning booze was a good idea? It brought in crime and underground bars and actually made things worse. It also makes me wonder why there’s still a ban in most states on marijuana, which causes crime and underground production to happen when that money could go towards paying off our debt. That’s another discussion for another time though.
Tonight, get a cocktail and raise your glass to the people who were smart enough to realize that it’s ok to have a drink, that it wouldn’t cause the downfall of society, that Prohibition was over! 21st Amendment, you're a beautiful thing!
