I love how people try to hide behind religion when they do wrong. I'm not preaching the Bible here, but please, take a minute and read this and you'll see what I mean.

Two stories came out today about people hiding behind God. One is about a guy in Alabama, a former convict who robbed a bank and said he did it because he prayed and that was the answer he was given. He came to the conclusion that it was a good idea to hold up a teller, take money and then run from the police.

The second is a pastor in Arizona who was selling drugs to his congregation to bring them closer to God. The police found that he was giving some drugs out for free but they think it was to get them hooked and get more business.

Enough with people saying it was God telling you to do it, that it was God’s will. You knowingly make evil choices but then your way of looking for forgiveness is bringing the Big Man into the conversation. It doesn’t work like that.

God had nothing to do with you and armed robbery, or you being a scumbag that got people hooked on drugs, or opening fire at an abortion clinic, or choking an old person to death. It’s time to face the consequences of your actions and not be horrible wastes of life.
