Each week we take a look at what's going on in the world of video games with Thumbtime! Hear it on DC101 Tuesday night at 8:25pm and you can get more about what we discuss here.
Take a listen to DC101's Thumbtime for November 27th, 2012!
This week's games:
Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault
Ratchet and Clank are celebrating their 10th anniversary together this year so of course a new game was in order! New enemies to battle, same bad jokes in the game. Plus defensive abilities are added where you must protect your base from bosses, a nice twist to the gameplay.
You also can take Full Frontal Assault directly from your Vita while you're out somewhere and continue on the tv at home with your PS3, seemless transition.

Beach Whale
One of the newest games for mobile devices is Beach Whale. You tilt and tap and try to defeat the bosses, collect fish and not end up stuck in the sand. It's a 2D side scroller that takes all of 9 seconds to learn and you'll be hooked. Spend the dollar for the next thing to suck up your time while you should be working.

Everquest: Rain of Fear

The 19th expansion pack for Everquest, Rain of Fear opens up new maps, gives you more missions to complete, new enemies to challenge, and you can take your character up to 100 level. Everquest will never end at this rate!

Under Defeat HD
Under Defeat originally was released in arcades and on the Dreamcast in Japan in 2006, now it’s available on PS3, in HD no less!
In the game you’re flying choppers during World War II, shooting everything in your path to protect the Empire from the Union. It’s a pretty basic move and shoot while trying not to die game, nothing very spectacular about it.
But if you’re a fan of old school arcade games you can switch it to classic mode and play like you were pumping quarters into a stand up machine.
Under Defeat HD, I’d suggest renting it if you want a throw back thrill, but don’t buy this one. You have better ways to spend your money.
