There is no question that the annual kick off to St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the DC area is the annual awesomeness known as Elliot In The Morning's Kegs and Eggs. This go around was the 14th edition and in my opinion having attended the last six, this was definitely my most favorite and in my opinion the best ever!

It didn't hurt that the Dropkick Murphy's kicked off the show and tore the roof off the place. And that was with only four of their seven members. Either way...it was worth the 17 alarms I set to get up all butt early and roll up to the 9:30 Club.

I wasn't sure what to expect when The Alternate Routes got on the stage but what ended up happening was that I was impressed like who. They were awesome. If you get a chance to see them live, make it happen. Homie even used a toolbox as a musical instrument!

Stephen Lynch...potty mouth, offensive, lewd, awesome and hilarious. It showed. Though I wish that he played "She Gotta Smile," "What If That Guy From Smashing Pumpkins Lost His Keys," and "Country Love Song," but he did play "Down to the Old Pub Instead." That was pretty awesome.

And Carbon Leaf. Nothing else needs to be said. They were killer as they are every year.

I took photos with mobile Khan...here are a few highlights

The Dropkick Murphy's!!! (granted it was only four of the seven but still awesome!)

He totally went into the crowd during "Shipping Up To Boston"

Two of the most eligible bachelors in all of the DC area. Me with Chris Bukowski (@chrisjbukowski) from the Bachelorette and one of the peeps behind the Bracket Room coming to Arlington in summer 2013.

And of course...Carbon Leaf!!!
