I was hoping that you might be able to get the word out about the donation
drive I have going on tonight at Grand Central in Adams Morgan from 6-12
tonight.  I am heading home to Staten Island tomorrow to help with the cleanup
and am renting a truck to fill up with donations from DC people.  Many people I
spoke to here want to help but had no real outlet to do so and I thought this
would be a great opportunity to do so.

Update from people on the ground - They are doing well with clothing donations
and are looking to concentrate on ready to eat/canned food, towels, blankets,
cleaning supplies (gloves, masks, bleach, cleaners, etc), baby food/formula,
diapers, and toiletries. I'll be taking all of these items tonight and any
monetary donations will go to the purchase of more once I arrive home in Staten
Island.
