I've been promoted! Unfortunately that means we can't play together during the midday. My friend, Tessa, is taking over and I couldn't be more excited for her and you! She is awesome and she will take great care of you. Please be awesome to her.
As for us, I can't quit you. I will still be on DC101. I am going to be on weekends and when people go on vacation, I will be helping out. I just can't do middays and my new job.
The past few years have been amazing. Truly amazing. Thank you for welcoming me into your car, your home and your office. From day one, the DC101 audience has proven to be full of amazing people. This is the first city/station that has ever felt like home, and it's because of you. I have loved every minute of the time we have spent together during my show, even the moments that I was yelling at you.
The 90s at Noon was the greatest part of my day, every day. Your requests, our banter, your passion for shenanigans...I wouldn't be here without you. You're more than half of my success.
To those of you who came out to the $1 Happy Hours and any of my other events. You may already know how much fun we had and how much I love you, but just in case: I love you! Team Bailey has a place in my office and my heart. And when I die from liver failure, I will make sure you are all protected from being sued. Regardless of what is happening in life or what sort of day any of us had...Team meetings/$1 Happy Hour was always like group therapy. You're amazing.
Thank you...all of you.
When I found out I had to stop doing middays, it was really important to me that we found someone to treat you with the love and respect you deserve. I have known Tessa for years and can honestly say, she is the only one for the job. She is smart, funny and knows her 90s jams. You will love her.
Thank you for being amazing. Thank you for listening. Thank you for continuing to listen. And thank you for making DC home.
